Our step-by-step How to Draw Tweety tutorial will show you how to create works of art using this cartoon icon.
How to Draw Tweety
Step 1
The first thing that strikes you the most about the Tweety Bird is its head, which is significantly larger than its body.
We’ll start by outlining his head for the first step of our tutorial on how to draw Tweety. First, you can use a large, rounded line for the top of his head. It’s so tall and round that it’s almost in the shape of a lightbulb.
Next, we draw her chubby little cheeks under this head. We’ll use two much smaller curved lines at the base of his head’s outline to do this.
There will be a small gap between these two lines as this is where his head will connect to his body.
Step 2
Now that you have the outline of his head, you can draw some facial details for your Tweety drawing in this step. First, let’s start with its little beak.
This is drawn using two pointed shapes connected and angled to make it look like he’s smiling.
You can even draw a curved line on the right side of his mouth for even more cuteness!
Finally, let’s draw some long, round shapes for his eyes with large pupils. To finish, you can draw three curved eyelashes per eye and then add three more curved lines on top of her head to get some hair.
Step 3
Tweety’s body is disproportionately small compared to his head, but that only makes him look cuter! In this step of our tutorial on how to draw Tweety, we will start drawing his body.
First, draw two small curved lines from the bottom of his head for his short neck. Next, draw a curved connecting line for his shoulder and another on the other side for his chest.
Finally, add another rounded line for her backside, then you can add her tail using more curved lines culminating in a sharp point. That’s all for now, so let’s move on!
Step 4
We’ve depicted Tweety in a very cute pose in this guide, and part of what makes him so cute is the way he has his hands folded in front of him.
We will draw this for this step of your Tweety Bird drawing. To do this, we will use some curved lines near where you drew the bump for his shoulder.
Then we draw her little fingers where her hands are folded. This part can be more complicated than you expect. So don’t be afraid to copy the reference image exactly when drawing!
We’ll end up with two small bumps at the base of his body from where his legs will protrude in the next step.
Step 5
Now it’s time to finish the drawing to be ready for the last step of this tutorial on how to draw Tweety. His feet are as big as his head is compared to his body.
They’re fairly simple in shape, so they should be easy to draw! Just draw some short legs and then use big, rounded shapes for their two-toed feet.
Once you’ve outlined, you’re ready for Step 6! Before proceeding, you can also add some personal information.
You could draw a background backdrop for Tweety, or you could even draw Sylvester lurking in the background.
Step 6
You will finish with some colors in this last step of your Tweety Bird drawing. In our reference image, we chose classic colors for this character.
This means using some nice bright shades of yellow for the head and body and orange for the legs and beak. Finally, we used some nice blue for her eyes.
If you want to use the same colors, you can use mediums such as acrylic paints and colored markers to give the image a bright look similar to what it looks like in cartoons.
